Advancing Evidence-Based Drug Policy In UNAMA Working Groups

In February, Commissioners Ruth Dreifuss and Michel Kazatchkine engaged in discussions convened by the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) under the Doha Process Working Groups on counter-narcotics. The meetings brought together Member States, international organizations and experts to explore responses to drug-related challenges in Afghanistan, in the context of the ban on opium cultivation and the increasing use of synthetic drugs.
